Deep Tissue: Specific treatment work focusing on releasing chronic tension patterns, increasing range of motion, and assisting in the rehabilitation of repetitive motion injuries. Utilizes techniques such as Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy and Joint Mobilization.

Swedish Relaxation:  Long, relaxing strokes using light or firm pressure, increases circulation and lymphatic drainage while soothing the nervous system and relieving muscle tension and stress.

Sports Massage:  A special form of active massage, typically used before, during, and after athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility and to prevent injuries.

Cranial Sacral Therapy: Cranial bones move very slightly in a unique rhythm, distinct from the cardiac pulse or breathing pattern.  Restrictions of the cranial movement have been shown to negatively affect a person’s health by reducing one’s natural capacity to self heal.  Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams – about the weight of a nickel – practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. Craniosacral therapy has been increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Polarity Therapy:  Polarity Therapy is a wonderful way to address disruption or blockage in the physical and subtle energetic body and invites homeostasis (balance). Some examples of what can cause one to be off balance are: pain, trauma, surgery, grief, injury- even emotional and mental stress can lead to misalignment and discomfort. Unlike massage, clients remain fully clothed- comfortable clothing is best, and engaged.  Very light touch, rocking motion and firm pressure are used through- out the session and most recipients feel rested and rejuvenated afterward. Polarity is very supportive, therapeutic and is a great alternative to those who may not prefer deep tissue treatments.

Reflexology:  Foot reflexology improves the lymphatic and vascular circulation. It also helps to balance the hormonal system and is an effective remedy for nervous system disorders.  Each foot has 7200 nerve endings, and are interconnected with the major organs of the body. Reflexology also uses specific pressure techniques that induce a profound state of relaxation.

Pre-natal: Eases backaches, headaches, shoulder and neck aches that may be caused by muscle tension and shifts in posture to accommodate increasing weight. Massage decreases pain in the pelvic/hip area, increases circulation, improves digestion, reduces fatigue, reduces swelling and stress on weight bearing joints and helps stabilize hormone levels.

Post-natal:  Low back pain, neck and shoulder pain, scar healing, headaches, hand and wrist pain, postural dysfunctions, depression, weakness and fatigue. Re-establishes pelvis structural integrity, supports healthy lactation, and reduces stress hormones.  Regular massage during the postnatal period is very beneficial to all new moms, as it addresses the physical discomforts, as well as your emotional state.
